Trying To Deal With Our Debt Isn’t Helped By The Current Increases From The Foremost Power Corporations.

So here we go again, yet another business claiming an increase of proceeds. A recent announcement has British Gas claiming a 58% increase in revenue despite the fact that prices remain elevated for the consumer.

This means that due to the recent icy weather together with the swollen prices some of us are struggling to pay. Not only does this not help in our fight to get our head above water with day-to-day living expenses, but it may well also mean that we have much more worry paying that wearisome debt we carry around like a noose around our neck.

Whether its bank loans, Credit Card Debt, paying for the family car, we battle at the best of times to maintain a excellent level of Debt Management. We certainly do not need our crucial household bills to be extortionate when there is no need for them to be.

Loads of of us have used Debt Consolidation in an attempt to lessen the burden and although this is a very useful preference, we really can do with a helping hand from the government to ensure we can do what they want us to - repay our debt.

According to this recent article, there are more than six million UK families living in fuel poverty. In this day and age this has to be deplorable. It also tells us that even though British Gas cutting its prices over the last 7 months their increased profit margin shows that there is not a great deal of competitive pressure in the market.

How may we turn this around? Well, until energy corporations elect to be a bit kinder or are required to be fairer then all we may do is be as competent as possible in dealing with our own private money and practicing sound Debt Management for those payments we have run up.

The real stinger is the Credit Card Debt. It is too effortless to spend assuring ourselves that we will pay it off when the bill comes through. By the time that the bill lands on our door mat some other problem has to be paid for and we find ourselves putting off paying the credit card bill. After all we have a load of time to pay it off haven’t we? But then yet an alternative temptation or emergency comes along and we yet another time have to use that little plastic friend to pay for it.
